We play weddings and those type of parties. It’s weird as a original music band to be playing unhappy 
songs at a wedding reception. These people are celebrating their new life together and we’re singing songs about breakup, heartache, and shit that goes wrong.
We had a newlywed couple slow dancing to Loner as their first married dance. It’s really strange watching them begin their lives together by dancing to a breakup song.
I remember Sting always talking about Every Breath You Take and how people use it as their wedding song. That song is not about love and the song’s vibe always weirded him out.
It goes to show you how people interpret music differently and pull out their own meanings.
